Cupcake of the Week – French Toast, Maple Buttercreme, Bacon

Welcome to another new blog feature! I don’t claim to write a cooking blog… but I do have a passion for cupcakes, and cake decorating in general. I made these French Toast/Bacon cupcakes for Christmas breakfast last year. They were amazing.

I changed up the frosting recipe… adding a little more sugar and some milk to A: make a little more frosting, and B: tone down the butter flavor just a bit. It was almost like biting into a stick of butter the way it was. I loved that the cake part wasn’t so sweet. I thought they were pretty perfect as a breakfast food.
