Things I love today… number elebenty.

First of all – Since I’m creating this GeekBrides stuff, I’m always on the lookout for a deliciously geeky thing that could either be used in a wedding, or household. I found thinkgeek.com. It’s a nerdy/geeky paradise. And I signed up for their affiliate program. Yay!

Click and enjoy, my nerdy friends. 😀

My favorite new product on ThinkGeek, which should come as no surprise… is this pizza cutter. There are no words to describe the way I feel about this.

Also, in my internet peregrinations today… (Notice I’m trying to work that word in as much as possible lately…)

If you’ve ever found yourself in the situation where you need to quickly mock-up a user interface, or web portal – you know how valuable a good set of icon graphics are. Also, if your job/hobbies/life-in-general keeps you sitting at a computer 24/7 like mine… you know how much fun changing your desktop icons can be. Remember windows 95? Who didn’t have custom icons back then? So, ladies and gentlemen, I present to you the thing that kept me entertained for at least an hour this morning… a glorious collection of icon sets. They link you to 70 sets, but on multiple occasions I found myself dumped into someone’s gallery of freebies, and I ended up downloading a few more here and there. Most are free license – meaning you can use them for personal and commercial use. Fun!

Also the site that featured those – www.unstage.com is a great site if you’re a designer or indie art enthusiast.

These skeleton serving trays are advertised as a halloween decoration – I would use them all year ’round. Except maybe on Christmas.

I know I usually post nerdy or design related things – but these Valentino boots made me swoon. Seriously. Lace biker boots. *sigh* Totally in love. Now – as long as there are starving children in the world, and my car still has a dent in the door, I would never spend $1200 on a pair of boots, no matter how awesome they are. But I can’t wait to find a knock-off version of these.

I live in Florida. There is no Autumn in Florida. Where I come from though, there’s Autumn, and I miss it. Lately I’m in the mood for fall-themed things. There’s a scarecrow “Welcome” sign hanging on my front door, there’s a light up ceramic pumpkin on top of my bookshelf… and pumpkin-cream cheese muffins from Starbucks, and these pumpkin spice Hershey’s kisses… top the food chart.

*drool* Have you tasted these yet? Ridiculous. Ridiculous and delicious.

I dream of having a party where I would use candle holders made out of apples… too bad I can’t somehow incorporate these into my wedding plans.

————————————————————————————–

This Dodo bird flash drive on Etsy completely cracked me up.

————————————————————————————–

Also on Etsy – these scrabble tile pillows. I’m totally going to get L.O.V.E. for the wedding.

There are mornings that I absolutely NEED one of these… It’s an alarm clock that scoots off your nightstand then trucks around your room until you catch it and turn it off. How fun would this be to play with?

There’s my 10 for today. Now off to pick up the step-kiddos-to-be and concoct the 4 of us something yummy for dinner. Tomorrow’s Friday!! 🙂
